Have Your Say on the Future of Climate Action in West Sussex

Climate change is already affecting communities across West Sussex, with more frequent heatwaves, increased flood risks, pressure on water resources and impacts on our natural environment. That's why West Sussex County Council, together with District and Borough Councils, is seeking residents' views on proposed Climate Mitigation and Climate Adaptation Action Plans.

The plans set out a shared vision for reducing emissions, adapting to the impacts of climate change, and creating a healthier, more resilient county for future generations. They explore how we can work together to support clean energy, protect nature, strengthen communities and encourage sustainable growth.

Climate action cannot be achieved by councils alone. The consultation gives residents, businesses, community groups and organisations the opportunity to help shape the final plans and ensure they reflect local priorities and experiences.
