Southwater Neighbourhood Warden's Monthly Report for August 2026.

Southwater Parish Council has published the Invitation to Tender for the Tree Survey 2026 Identified Works Contract on the Government's Contracts Finder website. The tender relates to works identified following the independent tree survey carried out across the Parish's open spaces and woodland areas in July 2026.

Climate action cannot be achieved by councils alone. The consultation gives residents, businesses, community groups and organisations the opportunity to help shape the final plans and ensure they reflect local priorities and experiences.

Horsham District Council has launched the Stage 2 consultation of its District-wide Community Governance Review, giving residents another opportunity to comment on proposed changes to parish governance arrangements.

We're delighted to share that our Community Engagement Officer, Veronika Toth, recently joined Shirley Blanch and Dr Tara Quinn from the Conversation Starter Project CIC to talk about the work of Southwater Parish Council and what community engagement means in our village.

Residents in Southwater North Ward are reminded that a Parish Councillor election will take place on Thursday 6 August 2026.

There will be no Councillor Surgery in August 2026 as is customary. The next Councillor Surgery will be held on the first Saturday of September. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Over the past couple of months, the Parish Council has been carrying out a range of maintenance and improvement works across the village, from repairing play equipment and replacing signage to improving drainage and sprucing up some of Southwater’s best-known landmarks.

Parish Office arrangements – Wednesday 24 June to Friday 26 June Due to the Met Office red weather warning and forecast high temperatures, and in line with the Council’s health and safety arrangements, the Parish Office will be closed to public walk-ins on Wednesday 24 June, Thursday 25 June and Friday 26 June.
