Southwater Parish Council is aware of a number of comments and questions on social media about Easteds Barn. This update is intended to share the facts, explain the process, provide reassurance, and outline what happens next.

Southwater Parish Council has received the resignation of Councillor Graham Turnwell. There is now a councillor vacancy in Southwater Parish Council.

At an Extraordinary Council Meeting on 17 December 2025, Southwater Parish Council resolved to proceed with a “Full Review” of the Southwater Neighbourhood Plan, including housing allocations.

Please note that the Parish Council office will be closed from Monday, 22nd December 2025, and will reopen on Monday, 5th January 2026 as usual.

West Sussex County Council’s Public Health team is offering one-off grants of up to £5,000 to support adult mental health and reduce the risk of suicide.
