Southwater Parish Council and the Neighbourhood Wardens are pleased to introduce the Memory Café Southwater. Starting on Thursday 1 October 2026, the café will take place on the first Thursday of every month from 2:30pm to 4:00pm at the Community Room, Beeson House.

We've published a new Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document to help residents better understand the proposed Shipley & Southwater Joint Neighbourhood Plan and the current consultation being run by Horsham District Council.

Over the past couple of months, the Parish Council has been carrying out a range of maintenance and improvement works across the village, from repairing play equipment and replacing signage to improving drainage and sprucing up some of Southwater’s best-known landmarks.

We're thrilled to share that 20 more local young people have just been approved for financial assistance through our Duke of Edinburgh's Award Living Legacy Fund, helping them take on this new adventure.

Parish Office arrangements – Wednesday 24 June to Friday 26 June Due to the Met Office red weather warning and forecast high temperatures, and in line with the Council’s health and safety arrangements, the Parish Office will be closed to public walk-ins on Wednesday 24 June, Thursday 25 June and Friday 26 June. Council staff will continue to work remotely and will monitor emails and telephone messages during normal working hours, subject to the weather conditions and staff we
