Over the past couple of months, the Parish Council has been carrying out a range of maintenance and improvement works across the village, from repairing play equipment and replacing signage to improving drainage and sprucing up some of Southwater’s best-known landmarks.

Horsham District Council has released the statement of persons nominated for the Parish Councillor vacancy in the Southwater North Ward. Voting will take place on Thursday 6 August 2026.

Southwater Parish Council has continued to work with West Sussex County Council to progress the proposed reduction of the 40mph speed limit to 30mph at the north and south ends of Worthing Road. Please read the post for updates.

Horsham District Council has announced an election for one Parish Councillor in the Southwater North Ward. If the election is contested, voting will take place on Thursday 6 August 2026.
