Temporary Closure of Two Mile Ash Road, Itchingfield – 17 December 2025

West Sussex County Council has issued a temporary daytime road closure for Two Mile Ash Road, Itchingfield, to allow essential tree and vegetation management near electricity infrastructure. The closure is being carried out under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.


  • Date: 17th December 2025

  • Duration: Up to 1 day (within a 5-day permitted window)

  • Times: 9:30am – 3:00pm

  • Location: Two Mile Ash Road outside the Allotment Gardens

  • Closed Section: Between the junction with Sycamore Rise and the junction with Trout Lane

  • Works: Scottish and Southern Power Distribution will be undertaking important tree and vegetation management work near electricity assets.


A clearly signed diversion route will be in place. Please note:

  • Access will NOT be maintained for pedestrians or residents during the works.

  • Emergency services access will be maintained.
