Temporary Closure of Coltstaple Lane, Southwater – 19 December 2025

West Sussex County Council has announced a temporary daytime closure of Coltstaple Lane, Southwater, to allow essential tree and vegetation management work to take place. The closure is being implemented under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

• Date: 19th December 2025

• Duration: Up to 1 day (with a maximum allowance of 5 days)

• Times: 9:30am to 4:00pm

• Location: Coltstaple Lane, for approximately 229 metres

• Works: UK Power Networks will be carrying out necessary maintenance to manage trees and vegetation safely around power infrastructure.
  

A signed diversion route will be in place for the duration of the closure. Please note:

• Access will not be maintained for pedestrians or residents during the works.

• Emergency services access will be maintained.
