Southwater Parish Council are considering running a Playscheme at Southwater Leisure Centre during the school summer holidays which it is hoped will provide parents with childcare during the long summer break.
The playscheme would operate Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm., providing childcare for 5 to 12 year olds. Fully qualified staff will be on board and activities on offer would include arts and crafts, games, sports and other fun activities. The cost per day per child is anticipated to be around ₤18.
However due to the significant cost associated with providing this kind of service the Parish Council need to know if there is a demand for such a play scheme. Space will be given on a first come, first served basis. In order to evaluate this demand, parents are asked to contact the Leisure Centre Manager, Mr.Steve Brew either by email at steve@southwater.net , or in writing to him at Southwater Leisure Centre, Pevensey Road, Southwater, RH13 9XZ (01403 733208) to register your interest and obtain more details. Only if there is sufficient interest shown by parents will the Parish Council consider proceeding with the scheme. The deadline for expressing an interest is 15th May, 2010.
