Calling all Southwater Parents!!
As many of Southwater parents are probably aware Horsham District Council are no longer providing playschemes across the district. This impacts on a significant number of working parents and consequently your Parish Council have decided to introduce a ‘Southwater Summer Holiday Camp ’ (our name for our playscheme). Don’t worry the children come home every evening – it is only a day ‘camp.’
The day camp is Ofsted registered and will be held at Southwater Leisure Centre from July 26th to August 27th (Mondays to Fridays). It will start at 8.30am and end at 5.30pm daily. Specially recruited staff will entertain your children in a safe, controlled environment. Activities will include all manner of sports such as Football, Basketball, Cricket, Softball, Frisbee football, arts and crafts including painting, card making, parachute games, dodgeball, trampolining (special days only) and other fun activities.
Please be aware that we can only take children aged between 5 and 12 and provided that the child is in full time education.
The cost will be £16 per child per day but it is possible to just attend for half a day at £8. If you book and pay in advance a discount of £2 per day is available and £1 per half day. Leisure Access card holders should contact the Centre as special rates are available for your children. Children will need to bring a packed lunch if they are staying all day. Squash and biscuits will be provided during the day.
It will probably be possible for you to turn up on the day and register your child although we cannot guarantee that there will be places available. If you decide to bring your child it would be advisable to call us prior to coming to check that we are not full up on that particular day.
