We want to build and support strong, active and inclusive communities across the Parish to encourage people to take an active part in making decisions, delivering and influencing services across the Parish.

The Community We Serve

The Parish Council is elected every four years to represent the Parish of Southwater.  The Parish comprises the communities of Christ's Hospital, Tower Hill & Salisbury Road, Two Mile Ash, Newfoundout and the village itself covering a total of 1400.1 Hectares.

 

Population

As of 2006, the total estimated population of the Parish was 10,608 with 38% of those being under the age of 18 years of age, a higher than the national average of young people under the age of 18.

The total electorate as at lst August 2008 stands at 7,334.
