Our Aims:

We want to build and support strong, active and inclusive communities across the Parish to encourage people to take an active part in making decisions, deliverying and influencing services across the Parish.

Southwater Horticultural Society

We are your friendly local Gardening Club, offering information, meetings with visiting speakers, shows, advice on showing and growing, outings and offers.

Our Secretary is Ms Nancy Brock, 01403 730449.

We meet monthly, usually on the third Wednesday -  free to members, non members 50p
Membership costs £5.00 single or £8.00 Family.
Meetings are held at the Village Hall, Church Lane, at 7.30 unless otherwise stated

OUR SCHEDULED SEPTEMBER SPEAKER HAS HAD TO CANCEL:  INSTEAD WE HAVE GEOFFREY MEAD, TALKING ON "THE STONES AND SOILS OF SUSSEX - A GARDENER'S GUIDE.

Late Summer Show Report

This year’s show was beautiful, with tasty looking vegetables and lovely flowers
The quality of the entries was excellent all round, the cookery and preserves judges being particularly complimentary. The preserves judge said that the entries in that section were beautifully presented and the quality superb; the cookery judge commented on the quality and range.

The Rose and Sweet Pea Show was down in numbers, not surprising given the prolonged dry spell, but it was still a joy.  Such lovely colours and perfumes!
