Damian Cecil
Police Community Support Officer
Southwater

I have been working as a PCSO since January 2007. Prior to this I was driving around the country fixing machines for eight years. I joined the Police as a PCSO to work within my local community.

As part of the Neighbourhood Policing Team, I cover the Parish of Southwater, which includes Christs Hospital, Newfoundout and Tower Hill.

My main role is to be a contact point for local residents and members of the public. I enjoy the variety of work, helping out in the local community, and helping to make a difference in my area.

The Southwater Community Police Office is located on the 1st floor of Beeson House, Lintot Square, Southwater. The office opened in 1996, and is manned by a team of dedicated volunteers, who were awarded the Queen`s Award for Voluntary Service in 2006. The office was the first of its type in the country.

The Southwater Community Police Office is open Monday to Friday between 0930-1230 and 1430-1700, for any reports of Crime or Anti-Social Behaviour. The office also acts as the area co-ordinator for the Neighbourhood Watch schemes in the Southwater Parish.

The office can be contacted on 01403 734417.
